You have created a template and you want to gain control and provide your collaborators with an up-to-date document?

Here, do you want to create your template directly in Leeway, from a blank page?

Nothing could be easier!

⚙️ How to do it?

1- Create the document

To do this, go to the "Templates" tab in the menu on the left, and enter the template to which you wish to add a document.

Click in the center of the page on "Add a document" (see below):

You have two options to create a template:

  • From a Word file

  • From a blank document

Here select the 2nd option "From a blank document".

Once you have selected the option, select the language of the document you are going to create.

The language is for information purposes only, Leeway does not translate your documents, but allows you to visually indicate to everyone what language the document is in, when it comes to creating projects from this template.

Once you have selected the language, click on "Create document" at the bottom right to validate the creation ✅.

You will then arrive on a blank page, from which you can start writing your template :

2- Publish the template

Once you are finished and your template is ready to use, click "Publish Template" at the top right of the page.

If you don't want to publish your template right away, it will be saved automatically, you can leave it without fear and come back to it at any time.

You will find it in the drafts of your templates:

🇺🇸 You can add multiple language versions to your template, to allow everyone to choose the language if needed. The existing versions are displayed at the top of the document.

Here is how to do it: Add different languages.
