You have inserted smart fields in your template to ease the contract completion for your teams and for the external party.
Tomorro allows you to go even further: assign the completion of fields to your counterparty or your company.
The benefits?
Autonomy for the operational teams: they know which information they have to fill in themselves before sending it to the external party ;
Better visibility: the fields to be filled in are clear for the counterparty, they only see the fields they have to fill in the form ;
Less back and forth with the other party and the risk of unexpected changes by the other party is avoided.
How to do it?
To assign the completion of fields, let's go directly from the template document.
Open the "Templates" section of the main menu and enter the relevant template.
On the right side of each field is a setting wheel ⚙️.
By clicking on this wheel, a window opens and you can choose to whom you want to assign the completion of the field:
your company, or
the counterparty.
The field appears in blue when the completion is assigned to your company (see below):
The field appears in yellow when the filling is assigned to the counterparty (see below):
What is the consequence?
A field is assigned to your company - in blue: only members of your company can fill it in; the counterparty has no control over this field, they cannot fill it in the form.
A field is assigned to the counterparty - in yellow: the counterparty will be able to fill in the field when you send the contract via Tomorro.
You can always fill in this field too.
That's it! A good way to make sure that the counterparty will not be able to change the information you have filled in.
