Tomorro allows you to block or allow editing and suggestions on documents created from a template.
To learn how: Set editing rights.
You can lock document editing while leaving certain areas unlocked for your collaborators. Conversely, you can lock specific areas on an unlocked document.
Let's see how to do this.
Define a non-editable area
1️⃣ Allow editing of the document from the Participant's settings.
2️⃣ Then select the part of the document that can be edited by contributors. Click on the lock that appears in the black banner:
3️⃣ Click on "Comments only".
Once this is done, the zone appears in a gray box above which appears the mention "Comments only" to inform you.
Consequences
Contributors can edit/make or review suggestions on the whole document ;
Only defined areas are locked: contributors cannot edit/make or review suggestions on these areas.
Define an editable area
To define an editable zone, so to unlock a zone in which contributors will be able to make changes or suggestions/receive suggestions, the document edition must first be locked.
If the edition is already unlocked, it is normal that you cannot define an editable area because contributors will be able to edit the document by default.
