Define a signature order

How to set up a signature order with the Tomorro signature?

Updated over 2 weeks ago

The Tomorro native signature allows you to sign your documents directly from Tomorro, without using a third-party electronic signature tool.

When setting up the Tomorro electronic signature, you can also define a signing order.

The signing order allows you to decide whether the signatory from your organization or the signatory from your contracting party will sign first/last.

This option is available with the PRO and ENTERPRISE plans and for Tomorro electronic signature only, it does not work with DocuSign integration.

How to do it?

First, open the desired document template.

The section for managing the signature order is located at the top of the page, as shown below:

First, click on the "No Signature Order" button.

Then select the "One after another" option.

You can then use the arrows to define the order of the signatures, between the signatories of the counterparty and those from your organization.

If you have multiple signatories, this does not define the order of signing between them, only between the parties to the contract.

When a contract is sent for signature, what happens?

When sending for signature, if a signature order has been set up from the template and you are using Tomorro e-signature to sign this document, this is how it will look like:

And once the signature process is started, the signature tracking box (as below), indicates the order of the signatories:

  • the signature of the signatory in the second position will be requested only after the first signatory has signed:
