How to set the default value for a custom smart field?

This is managed by model and from the summary sheet, which you can configure and for which you can choose which smart fields to include.

To find out why and how to set up a standard summary sheet by template, we explain everything in this article.

For each field you choose to insert in the summary sheet, you can choose a default value.

By default, the field will be filled with the selected value.

Click on the "..." to the right of the field:

Then click on "Add a default value" and fill in the information as required.

Then click outside the field to save the default value. Below each field, you can see the potential default value you have added to it:

The default value for the "Start date" field

You can set your template and its summary sheet so that, for any project linked to this template, the start date is equal to the signature date.

Edit the default value

To change a default value, click on "..." to the right of the field. Modify the value and click outside the window.

The change is automatically saved ✅

Delete a default value

Click on the "..." to the right of the field and in the default value section, click on the cross to delete the value.

Editing or deleting a default value from the template does not affect the summary sheets of projects already created.

  • The value will not be changed or deleted.

  • The modification made will affect future projects.
